Len McNally, MA, MPH
Program Director, The New York Community TrustLen McNally is a Program Director at The New York Community Trust where he manages the foundation’s Health and People With Special Needs grant-making program, including the areas of health policy, biomedical research, aging, environmental health, and AIDS. Prior to joining The Trust in 1989, Mr. McNally spent over ten years planning community-based programs for chronically ill elders and people with AIDS, working to develop a comprehensive capitation-financed program for highly disabled elders and the country's first day treatment program for people with AIDS. Following the terrorists attack on New York, Mr. McNally provided consultation to the September 11th Fund in the design and funding of environmental health and health insurance programs for victims of the attacks.
Before embarking on a career in public health, Mr. McNally taught biology. He has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biology from Northeastern University and a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University. He is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, a former member of the New York City HIV Planning Council, a Board member of God's Love We Deliver and Funders Concerned About AIDS, and has been a volunteer in AIDS organizations since 1985.
