Shari Jones, MSN, APRN, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Ms. Jones is an active duty Commander in the Navy Nurse Corp. Ms. Jones serves as Chief Anesthetist and Vice-Chairman for Administration at Balboa Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. She has received numerous military awards. She is a three-time recipient of the Naval and Marine Corps Achievement Award, a two-time recipient of the Naval and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and also received the Humanitarian Service Medal. Ms. Jones has been deployed numerous times and also has served on the ASNS Mercy, during its Tsunami Relief Project that provided anesthesia services, medical relief, and aid to more than 300 Indonesian nationals forllowing the 2005 Tsunami. She has maintained a 4.0 grade-point-average while studying at the University of San Diego. Her PhD research area will examine Military-related Sleep Apnea. Her Dissertation Chair is Dr. Joseph Burkard.
