Rose Lindsay takes pride in her journey through nursing education. Rose began as an Associate Degree Nurse from Sullivan County Community College, from which she graduated as valedictorian in 1999. She then pursued a BSN from State University of New York at Stony Brook and later graduated with an Adult Nurse Practitioner degree with a minor in education from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY in 2006. Rose decided to continue her education in her true passion of the workings of the mind as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and received a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatry from SUNY Stony Brook. Rose’s career has been in the following areas: medical surgical, nursing education, neuroscience, and mental health. She is a current member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Graduate Nursing Student Association. She enjoys her current job immensely as an outpatient mental health nurse practitioner in Orange County, NY. Rose’s professional goals are to lead an outpatient/inpatient program for OCD and related disorders, educate nursing students, enhance interprofessional collaboration, improve quality through the use of standardized measurement tools, and elevate the profession of nursing.
