Pamela Linzer RN MSN is currently a Boston College PhD Research Fellow (2015-2019). She has been a registered nurse for over 20 years. Most recently she was the Manager of Employee Health and Infection Prevention at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. She successfully integrated two safety programs in that role by combining employee and patient safety. She has also worked at the hospital as a Infection Prevention Coordinator, Critical Care Float RN and a Clinical off-shift Supervisor. Her Masters capstone was published in Creative Nursing: “What Floats a Float Pool Nurse." Prior to Winchester Hospital, Pam was a chronic dialysis nurse, travel medical-surgical nurse, and began her career on a medical surgical unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. She graduated with her BSN from Boston College in 1995 and achieved a Masters in Nursing Administration from Simmons College in 2009. Her research interests include infection prevention and control, occupational safety, integrated safety systems, patient and employee quality and safety initiatives. Her passion is leading, mentoring, teaching and supporting registered nurses to provide safe front line patient care.
