Ms. Januszewicz was honorably discharged from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, and then served six years as an active reservist in the Navy Nurse Corps. She has practiced as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Intensive Care Unit at Balboa Naval medical Center, San Diego, and at the Naval Hospital, Newport, Rhode Island. Currently, Ms. Januszewicz is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Palomar Palmerado Healthcare, where she serves as a supervisor and manager in the Intensive Care Unit. She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average while at University of San Diego. Ms. Januszewicz's area of Dissertation research is pain management in the Critical Care area. Her Dissertation Chair is Dr. Joseph Burkhard.
