Kimberly A. Hines, RN, BSN, BSHS

Ms. Hines is a doctoral student at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. She received her undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY and she completed her nursing studies at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Hopkins, Ms. Hines was accepted into the Minority Health in Research Training (MHIRT) Program and studied abroad in South Africa. Prior to enrolling in the PhD Program, Ms. Hines was a Clinical Research Nurse at the National Institutes of Health where her work primarily focused on infectious diseases and immunological disorders. Her current research interest is the impact of culture on HIV/AIDS sexual transmission risk behavior in the Afro-Caribbean population.
