Kelley is a registered nurse with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) who is currently completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice program with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty at the University of San Francisco. Her nursing background includes hospital-based nursing work in Medical/Surgical Intensive Care and Post Anesthesia Care and Recovery, and community-based nursing work as a Pediatric Public Health Nurse. She also has several years of experience teaching both biology and cadaver lab courses for undergraduate students at Arizona State University and clinical and didactic coursework for masters-entry nursing students at the University of San Francisco. Her MPH project focused on the topic of Greening Healthcare by incorporating environmental education and waste management practices into the nursing simulation lab curriculum at the University of San Francisco. Her doctoral project is practice-based and focused on improving history-taking and management of environmental toxin exposures in primary care settings, particularly for communities that are rural or limited in provider and supportive resources.
