Darcel Reyes, RN, MS, ANP-BC

Ms. Reyes received her Baccalaureate degree from the College of New Rochelle and her Master’s degree from Hunter as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, The International Honor Society for Nursing. Ms. Reyes has worked as a nurse clinician in the adult ICU at New York University Medical Center. In addition, she has served as an Adjunct faculty member at Rockland Community College, New York University College and CUNY Hunter College. Ms. Reyes currently works in a community clinic in the South Bronx as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in HIV/AIDS where she serves as an advocate for a diverse population, representing young adults, adults, and seniors/gerontology patients. Her interest is the empowerment of these individuals and the inclusion of the family in the holistic process of patient care. The primary focus of her dissertation will be low literacy and health disparities.
