Aubrey L. Florom-Smith, BSN, RN
University of Miami, School of Nursing and Health Studies
Ms. Florom-Smith is a doctoral student at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies and a graduate assistant for the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) Center of Excellence for Hispanic Health Disparities Research (El Centro). She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, The International Honor Society for Nursing. She has previously attended the University of Illinois, Barry University, Broward Community College and the University of Miami, where she received her BSN. Ms. Florom-Smith’s research interests include the prevention of HIV/AIDS and intertwined conditions such as stigma and mental health, the development of culturally-tailored interventions and the elimination of health disparities among marginalized groups.
