Whitney Batsel Griffith, DNP, RN

Dr. Whitney Batsel Griffith graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. She subsequently attended the University of South Florida and attained a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013. While attending the University of South Florida, she was inducted as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor Society, and the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society. She also served as a mentor in the University's College of Nursing Student Lab Mentorship program. Most recently, Dr. Griffith completed her DNP at the University of South Florida, pursuing the family practice concentration. During her time as a Jonas Scholar, she worked with the members of the Academic Committee of the Florida Suncoast Regional Action Team to support achievement of the Committee's priority goals, which include, but are not be limited to, furthering the realization of the IOM Future of Nursing Report recommendations. Dr. Griffith's future goals include working as a primary care provider for a diverse patient population while becoming a leader in the field to aid in advancing the nursing profession as a whole.
