Sherry A. Greenberg, PhD, GNP-BC

Sherry Greenberg Jonas Scholar III AlumniSherry Greenberg completed her PhD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1990) and Master of Science in Nursing. Her doctoral dissertation focused on fear of falling among high-risk, urban, community-dwelling, older adults. 

Dr. Greenberg is the Coordinator for the Advanced Practice Nursing Geriatrics Program and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Hartford Center for Geriatric Nursing at New York University College of Nursing. Previously, she worked as a gerontological nurse practitioner in acute, long-term care, sub-acute rehabilitation, assisted living, and outpatient primary care practices in New York and New Jersey.

As an educator, Dr. Greenberg has taught at both graduate and undergraduate levels and is currently Series Editor for The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing’s Try This® Series, communicating with experts and disseminating best practices in nursing care to older adults. Dr. Greenberg is a member of various nursing and gerontological interprofessional organizations, including the Eastern Nursing Research Society, National Gerontological Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau. An active member of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), she is currently the GSA Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization (ESPO) senior representative to the Health Sciences Executive Committee.
