Rebecca Guilkey Rebecca Guilkey entered nursing as a second career after first earning a BA in English, cum laude, from Butler University. She subsequently completed her accelerated BSN at Indiana University, after which she practiced as an intensive care nurse, in addition to volunteering regularly at a local free clinic. During the course of her career, she earned a certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), was published in Critical Care Nurse magazine and became a member of American MENSA. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, and the American Nurses Association.

Ms. Guilkey is pursuing an additional certification in Neuroscience Nursing and is currently a PhD student at Indiana University, focusing on Clinical Nursing Science. Her areas of research include the potential applications of alternative therapies in alleviating symptoms experienced by patients with acute and chronic neurological illnesses, including those with resulting cognitive decline. She is interested in the potential application of alternative therapies in the reduction of symptoms experienced by patients with acute and chronic neurological illnesses, including those with cognitive decline.
