Olivia Ampiah-Bonney

Olivia Ampiah-BonneyOlivia Ampiah-Bonney was born in Takoradi, a coastal city and capital of the Western Region of Ghana. She was awarded a DAAD scholarship for an exchange program in Germany and worked as a PhD chemistry student at the University of Regensburg. She then attended University of Science and Technology for a Masters program in Wood Technology and Management where she was awarded the Poku Transport Award for best masters student for the program. She has the privilege of being the first female wood technologist in Ghana.

Ms. Ampiah-Bonney was appointed Lecturer in Wood Technology at the Department of Civil and Building Engineering of Takoradi Polytechnic where she completed her Masters degree and taught courses in wood preservation and wood science. She was accepted into the Second Bachelor Nursing Program at UMASS-Amherst, where she is currently pursuing her Doctoral nursing degree.
