Karen Goldschmidt is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Drexel University. Ms. Goldschmidt is the Department Chair for the RN-BSN Online Degree Completion Program in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel. Ms. Goldschmidt received her BSN from East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania, an MSN from Wilmington University, Delaware, and is currently a doctoral student at Villanova University, Pennsylvania. Ms. Goldschmidt's clinical experience is in high-risk neonatal nursing. She practiced for several years at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Pennsylvania, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Additionally, Ms. Goldschmidt worked as an Educational Nurse Specialist at CHOP within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, The Cardiac Center, and Children's Seashore House. Currently, Ms. Goldschmidt is the Technology Column Editor for The Journal of Pediatric Nursing. She is a member several professional organizations including Sigma Theta Tau, The Society of Pediatric Nurses, The Nursing of Children Network and The ANA. Ms. Goldschmidt’s area of research interest: Professional Transformation of Students Engaged in an Online RN-to-BSN Degree Completion Program.
