Jessica Driscoll, ANP

Jessica Driscoll is a 2002 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts where she majored in Biology and received a certificate in Gerontology. While at Assumption, she played on the varsity field hockey team and served as a hospice volunteer. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she entered the Simmons College nursing program. She began her nursing career on the Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2006. She worked full-time as a staff nurse while pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing - Adult Nurse Practitioner and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, Theta at Large in May of 2008. Upon graduation in 2009, she began working as an Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has been involved with the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation Advanced Practice Professional Research Sub-committee. She has presented her research The Lived Experience of an Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: a Qualitative Study at both the local and international levels. She was awarded the Jill Nelson Burke, NP Advanced Practice Nursing Award by the Massachusetts Cancer Center in 2012 for excellence in clinical knowledge, teamwork, collaboration and compassionate care, and the Faculty Achievement Award by the Simmons College School for Health Studies Graduate Program In Primary Health Care Nursing for her strength in academic and clinical achievements and potential for outstanding contribution to primary health care nursing in 2009. Jessica enjoys the long-term follow-up care surrounding the bone marrow transplant population.
