Jacqueline Eaton, PhD

Jaqueline EatonJacqueline Eaton received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts Studies from Brigham Young University and her Master’s degree in Gerontology and PhD in Nursing from the University of Utah. She is a member of the Gerontological Society of America. 

Dr. Eaton is an Adjunct Professor and the Project Director for the Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Utah, developing courses in research methods and aging and the arts. She has helped academic programs adapt their on campus coursework for the online environment in her role as program manager for the Geriatric Nursing Leadership Program, and online education consultant to the Nurse Practitioner and RN-BSN programs. Most recently she created an online module to train nurse researchers to collect data on pain care quality in hospitals throughout the United States. For her doctoral research, Dr. Eaton utilized ethnodrama to emphasize late life potential and study its influence on perceptions of aging among older adults in long term care and nursing student attitudes towards older adults.
