Jonas/NLN Scholar Alumni FrenchMr. French graduated with a BS in nursing from the University of Connecticut in 1984 and an MS in Health Care Adminsistrationfrom Simmons College in 1988. His work experience includes clinical practice (geriatrics, general surgery, trauma, critical care), administration and education. For the last 26 years, he has worked at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA most recently in nursing professional development and simulation. He is currently the Director of the Knight Simulation Program and Director of the Maxwell and Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning Center in The Institute for Patient Care at MGH.

Mr. French is enrolled in the MS/Phd program at Boston College. He completed his MS in adult health nursing in the clinical nurse specialist track in 2009. His dissertation work focuses on improving nurse-led discharge teaching for parents/caregivers of technology-dependent infants. This work has the potential to influence curricula related to patient education in both practice an academic settings.
