Jonas III Veterans Healthcare Scholar Alumni - Amanda ForeAmanda M. Fore, RN, MS is a nurse coordinator and program analyst at the VA National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She received a BSN from Eastern Michigan University in 2004, a MS in Nursing Business and Health Systems from the University of Michigan in 2008, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Michigan, focusing on patient safety and quality improvement.

Prior to joining NCPS, Ms. Fore worked at the VA Ann Arbor Health Care System, as a nurse interventionist and educator for a multi-site inpatient tobacco cessation implementation study. Her early experience as a registered nurse in medical-surgical and labor and delivery led to her passion for patient safety and quality improvement.

As a nurse coordinator and program analyst, Ms. Fore provides national leadership in project design, field training, implementation, and evaluation of patient safety programs created for front-line, middle management and executive level nurses. She is also a consultant in the development, evaluation, and categorization of Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and dissemination of best practices particularly in relation to the delivery of nursing care in any setting.
