JCNE Blog $1.3M Awarded to the Foundation for Nursing Excellence to Increase Nursing Graduates
The Jonas Center is pleased report that the North Carolina-based Foundation for Nursing Excellence (FNE) has received a grant from The Duke Endowment to increase the number of Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates in North Carolina.
In 2008, The FNE received a grant from Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future, of which the Jonas Center is a partner, to begin work toward implementing a four-year, dual-admission, seamless progression educational tract. Based on the project's success and the broad interest in expanding it statewide, The Duke Endowment has taken part in investing in the expansion of the model in five regions across the state, including 14 associate degree and five university nursing education programs.
